We can’t fail to mention perhaps the biggest news of the week, Tuesday’s primary be damned: CHIPOTLE INVASION. If a lease is successfully negotiated, Louisville’s first Chipotle restaurant will open in the Hyatt Regency Louisville hotel downtown, next to Einstein Bros. Bagels restaurant, at the corner of Fourth and Jefferson Streets.
What do die-hard Qdoba fans think about this upstart competitor’s bold move to the River City?

"The Best City Park Systems in America," according to the Atlantic -

Louisville ranks 38th on a list of the best parks systems in the nation, behind the likes of Detroit and Mesa, Arizona, according to the Atlantic. Louisville natives would consider this a blow, especially since 18 of our parks and six parkways were designed by the Father of American Landscape Architecture himself, Frederick Law Olmsted, who is more famously known for his work on Central Park and the Biltmore. Louisville’s park life is also flourishing in general these days, with the rise in pet ownership and the blossoming of the local running community. Was Louisville jilted?

Lepus: Over this Memorial Day Weekend, myself and a number of friends will be working at a Beatles Festival here in Louisville -

lepus:

Pouring beer in hot weather for 12-14 hours a day is always a fun time.

I will be posting photos from the folks that like to get dressed up and listen to Beatles covers from Norway and Japan and elsewhere.

It really is a cool festival, and this is coming from a Beatles novice. I don’t want to…

Another fine Louisvillian doing his civic duty and working “Abbey Road on the River.” We’ll also be soaking up the Beatles nostalgia on the Belvedere this weekend, so join us.

Unleash your inner bombshell with Go-Go Amy -

“On stage, Go-Go Amy exuded confidence and poise, even before she peeled layers off in smoothly choreographed numbers. Like most good pin-up models and burlesque performers, her power was less in near-nudity and more in the winks, the “come hither” stare, and the shine in her eyes that suggested she was having more fun performing than I was having watching.”

Psychic Reading: Medium Chip Coffey takes you beyond the veil at the Seelbach -

An internationally recognized medium, Chip Coffey is the psychic host of two hit shows produced by A&E, Paranormal State and Psychic Kids. Claiming the ability to communicate with spirits since childhood, Coffey now takes his skills on tour, engaging audience members in spontaneous readings, conducting paranormal investigations, and sharing anecdotes from his unusual past. The stage show, Coffey Talk with Chip Coffey, comes to Louisville tomorrow night, hosted in the historic – and supposedly haunted – quarters of The Seelbach Hotel.
