We can’t fail to mention perhaps the biggest news of the week, Tuesday’s primary be damned: CHIPOTLE INVASION. If a lease is successfully negotiated, Louisville’s first Chipotle restaurant will open in the Hyatt Regency Louisville hotel downtown, next to Einstein Bros. Bagels restaurant, at the corner of Fourth and Jefferson Streets.
What do die-hard Qdoba fans think about this upstart competitor’s bold move to the River City?

Louisville ranks 38th on a list of the best parks systems in the nation, behind the likes of Detroit and Mesa, Arizona, according to the Atlantic. Louisville natives would consider this a blow, especially since 18 of our parks and six parkways were designed by the Father of American Landscape Architecture himself, Frederick Law Olmsted, who is more famously known for his work on Central Park and the Biltmore. Louisville’s park life is also flourishing in general these days, with the rise in pet ownership and the blossoming of the local running community. Was Louisville jilted?

4 days agoWhat the Kentucky and Arkansas primaries tell us (and what they don't)
Obama lost four in ten votes to “uncommitted” and unknown candidates in yesterday’s Democratic primary here in Kentucky. Do you agree with the following points being made in the aftermath by pundits and party officials alike?:
- There is dissatisfaction within the Democratic party with Obama, but much of it in southern conservative states like Kentucky and Arkansas can be attributed to the race issue.
- “Putting stock in raw vote totals in a Southern primary is a dodgy proposition,” because many voters in our area register Democrat mainly to vote in downballot local elections.
- “There are nine swing states in this election. Arkansas and Kentucky weren’t in that group before Tuesday night and they certainly aren’t in it after the primaries in those two states.”
- The embarrassing and underwhelming results in this primary predict an “enthusiasm problem” for the incumbent come the fall.

Have you ever wondered what it takes to put on one of Louisville’s biggest music festivals, Abbey Road on the River? Approximately 25,000 enthusiastic Beatles fans from 50 states and 10 countries will attend the festival May 24-28 to watch more than 60 bands play music, mostly by The Beatles.
Louisville.com was able to discuss preparation for the festival with the mastermind behind AROTR, Gary Jacob, an experienced event producer from Cleveland who has organized other events such as the National Rib Cook-Off, millennium events for Kodak in 2000, and Easter at the White House during the Clinton Administration. Jacob started organizing the festival in late fall 2001. “It really does take twelve months to make it all work,” he said.
